Itinerary

Day 1

Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive north toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where wild rhinos are being restored. After a safety briefing, head out on foot with professional rangers to observe these incredible animals grazing in their natural habitat.
Enjoy lunch en route before continuing to Masindi for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

 Murchison Falls National Park – Game Drive

After breakfast, travel to the southern entrance of Murchison Falls National Park and continue toward the northern savannah landscapes. Once across the Nile, embark on your first game drive in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, antelope species, and, if the timing is right, the elusive leopard.
Return to your lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or joining an optional second game drive.

Day 3

Nile Boat Safari –  Hike to the Top of Murchison Falls

 

This morning, board a boat for an unforgettable journey upriver along the Victoria Nile. Watch for hippos, crocodiles, bathing buffalo, and many water birds as you approach the thunderous base of Murchison Falls.
Disembark and hike to the top, where the entire Nile squeezes through a dramatic rocky gorge before plunging 43 meters—a spectacular highlight of the trip.
Your guide will meet you at the summit and transfer you back to the lodge.

Day 4

Budongo Forest – The Royal Mile

Check out and travel toward Budongo Forest Reserve, famous for its towering mahogany trees and rich birdlife. Join a guided nature walk along the Royal Mile, one of the most renowned birding routes in East Africa, also home to primates such as red-tailed monkeys and colobus monkeys.
Return to Masindi afterward for an evening at leisure.

Day 5

Scenic Transfer to Fort Portal

Enjoy a full day of travel as you head toward the beautiful crater lake region near Fort Portal. The route winds through rural villages, rolling hills, and the edges of the Albertine Rift Valley. On arrival, settle into your lodge and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Day 6

Crater Lakes Exploration

 

Spend the day exploring some of Uganda’s most striking crater lakes. Your guide will introduce you to viewpoints and walking trails around the Kasenda and Rwetera lake clusters—sparkling volcanic lakes known for their stunning colors and serene landscapes.
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon back at the lodge.

Day 7

Departure

After breakfast, begin your journey back toward Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for departure.
