Zimbabwe, one of the most striking countries in Southern Africa, shares a northern border with South Africa. The ancient capital of this landlocked nation was known as “Great Zimbabwe.” Besides Egypt’s Pyramids, the ancient stone buildings that have survived here are the largest in all of Africa.
