Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Windhoek

Upon arrival at Windhoek International Airport, our representative will welcome you. Collect your fully equipped 4WD rental vehicle and drive to Windhoek for your first overnight stay. Dinner and overnight: Windhoek area

Day 2

Sossusvlei Adventure

Following an enjoyable breakfast, set off on an adventure to Sossusvlei. Explore the legendary Deadvlei, celebrated for its stunning white clay pan and timeless camel thorn trees. Savor a delicious lunch before arriving at Dune 45, the most photographed dune in the world, where you will experience a stunning sunset. Dinner and overnight: Sossusvlei area

Day 3

Namib-Naukluft National Park & Walvis Bay

 

Enjoy breakfast before departing for the vast Namib-Naukluft National Park, home to dramatic terracotta dunes and unique desert wildlife. Continue west through the scenic Khomas Hochland before arriving at Walvis Bay. Dinner and overnight: Walvis Bay area

Day 4

Coastal Exploration & Swakopmund

Early risers might catch a glimpse of the flamingos by the shore!
After breakfast, drive to the big dunes of Sandwich Harbour (depending on permit approval). Continue to Dune 7 for an exhilarating quad bike adventure! Drive to Swakopmund for supplies before venturing into the lonely terrain. Dinner and overnight: Swakopmund area

Day 5

Skeleton Coast & Damaraland

Drive along the Skeleton Coast via Henties Bay to visit the Cape Cross seal colony. Continue inland to Damaraland via Palmwag, arriving at Khowarib Gorge for a night of camping. This will be a long journey with minimal stops. Dinner and overnight: Palmwag area

Day 6

Kaokoland & Hoanib River Safari

 

Today, the road leads into the Kaokoland and Hoanib River area, where you can often see the famous desert-adopted elephants and other animals. Camp out under the stars for the night. Dinner and overnight: Camping

Day 7

Wildlife Tracking in Hoanib & Hoarusib

After breakfast, explore the Hoarusib and Hoanib areas, searching for wildlife tracks in the sandy paths. Spend the night at the Purros campsite or similar. Dinner and overnight: Purros area

Day 8

Predator Tracking & Fort Sesfontein

 

After an early breakfast, the day begins with tracking lion and predator footprints before heading to Fort Sesfontein, a historic structure built in 1896. Learn about its past and the role it played in local history. Dinner and overnight: Fort Sesfontein area.

Day 9

 Epupa Falls & Himba Culture

 

We travel north on our route to the stunning Epupa Falls. Beautiful sunsets, the thundering Epupa Falls, a wide variety of birds, and the Himba tribes, who continue to live according to their traditional ways, are just a few of the many attractions in this area.

Day 10

Opuwo & Wildlife Sanctuary Stay

Travel back to Opuwo and then continue east to a private game farm spanning 6,000 hectares. Enjoy sightings of giraffes, antelopes, zebras, and other wildlife. Relax in an open, thatched-roof setting with panoramic savanna views. Dinner and overnight: Uukwaluudhi area

Day 11

 Entering Etosha National Park

Drive through Ovamboland and enter Etosha National Park via the King Nahele Gate. This expansive reserve is home to elephants, giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, and possibly lions. Travel through the park towards Namutoni, ensuring arrival before sunset.

Day 12

Full Day in Etosha

Spend the day exploring waterholes and tracking wildlife to spot the “Big Five.” Stop at Halali for lunch and rest before continuing game drives. In the evening, visit a waterhole to observe nocturnal animal activity.

Day 13

Hoba Meteorite & Waterberg Plateau

Depart from Etosha and travel via Tsumeb and Grootfontein to see the world’s largest known meteorite – the Hoba Meteorite. Continue to Waterberg Plateau Park for an afternoon hiking trail to a scenic viewpoint.
Dinner and overnight: Waterberg Plateau Park

Day 14

Hoba Meteorite & Waterberg Plateau

Drive back to Windhoek, return the rental vehicle, and check into a hotel for your final night in Namibia. Enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by your local guide. Dinner and overnight: Windhoek

Day 15

Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
