Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival – Johannesburg

Arrive in Johannesburg late afternoon, meet and assist by English speaking guide and private transfer to hotel in Rosebank or Sandton area. Dinner at leisure. Overnight Johannesburg.

Day 2

Johannesburg – Soweto

Breakfast at hotel, meet your guide and depart on a private full day Soweto tour including Apartheid museum, lunch at a local restaurant like Sakhumzi’s, visit Hector Pieterson memorial, Mandela House , Regina Mundi church, and on the way back (time permitting) stop at Mandela Sanctuary. Dinner at local restaurant in Johannesburg. After dinner transfer back to your hotel. Overnight Johannesburg (B,L,D)

 

Day 3

Kruger National Park 

 

Breakfast at hotel, check out and make your way to Kruger park area. Time permitting, stop in Pretoria for a visit to the Union Buildings and Pretoria city tour. Stop en-route for lunch (own account). Arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and Overnight in Kruger National Park Area (B,D)

Day 4

Panorama Route – Sabi Sands Game Reserve

Early breakfast at hotel. Depart after breakfast on Panorama Tour including Blyde River Canyon, Lisbon Falls and Graskop Gorge with glass lift and forest walk. After tour check-in to your private game reserve lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure at lodge. Enjoy afternoon high tea then depart for evening game drive, dinner and overnight at Sabi Sands Game Reserve in Kruger National Park Area (B,L,D)

Sabi Sands Game Reserve

Early wake-up, light breakfast, morning game drive, brunch, at leisure at lodge, afternoon high tea, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight in Private Game Reserve in Kruger National Park Area (B,L,D)

Day 6

Sabi Sands Game Reserve – Eswatini

 

Early wake-up, light breakfast, morning game drive, brunch then check-out of lodge.
Depart for Eswatini via the Swazi Jeppes Reef border post. Lunch stop en-route and visit a Swazi Cultural Village for cultural show and village tour. Arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon.
Dinner and overnight in Eswatini (B,L,D)

Day 7

Eswatini – Kwazulu Natal – Hluhlulwe National Park 

Breakfast at hotel. Check-out and visit a local craft market and a short tour of the Ngwenya Glass Factory. Depart for Hluhlulwe National Park in Kwazulu Natal via the Ngwenya Border Post. Arrive at Hluhluwe and enjoy a Picnic Lunch and an afternoon game drive in the Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park famous for its Rhino population. Transfer to hotel after sightseeing. Dinner with a Zulu Dance Show and overnight in Hluhluwe (B,L,D)

Day 8

St Lucia – Hippo and Crocodile Cruise – Durban

*Departure via Johannesburg or tour extension in Cape Town

 

Breakfast at hotel. Check-out and transfer to St. Lucia. Enjoy a mid-morning Hippo and Crocodile Cruise with finger food snack platters. After the cruise, transfer to Durban for an evening flight out, returning to ** Johannesburg or carrying on to Cape Town for a tour extension**
Arrive in Cape Town and meet your guide and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Cape Town (B,L)

Day 9

Cape Town – Table Mountain – Cape Point and Peninsula

 

Breakfast at hotel . Private Full day Table mountain with return cable car ride (weather permitting), Cape Point and peninsula tour including visit to Penguins at Boulders beach, and Cape of Good Hope. Lunch at Seaforth or similar. Late afternoon transfer back to hotel, freshen up and transfer to Gold Restaurant for dinner and entertainment. GOLD is an immersive experience that will take you on a 14-dish taste-safari paired with traditional Mali puppets and entertainment. Return to hotel after dinner and Overnight Cape Town (B,L,D)

Day 10

Cape Town City Tour – Departure

Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a Cape Town city tour – driver guide pointing out all the landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, City Hall, the Castle, the Slave Lodge, and St Georges Cathedral. Visit the Company’s Garden and Greenmarket Square (if time permits). Enter Bo-Kaap area and stop to take photos of the brightly painted houses. Visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

 

Optional (time permitting): depart on an afternoon Winelands tour with lunch at Boschendal wine estate with 1 chocolate and wine tasting. Stop in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and enjoy a walk in the towns. Transfer to Airport after sightseeing and depart for Johannesburg or take a late night flight back home. (B)
