Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival – Johannesburg

Arrival in Johannesburg and check into hotel near the airport. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Johannesburg airport area.

Day 2

Victoria Falls  – Sunset Cruise

Fly to Victoria Falls, arrive VFA around midday – immigration formalities, be met by local representative, and transfer to your hotel. Lunch on arrival, followed by check-in. In the late afternoon, embark on a sunset cruise, one of the best ways to unwind and take in the breathtaking scenery of the Zambezi River. Picturesque African sunsets make for excellent photo opportunities. As the sun sets behind the African horizon, flocks of birds skim the water’s edge. You may get to witness a range of animals, such as crocodiles, elephants, and hippos, in addition to taking in diverse bird species. The cruise offers beer, wine, local spirits, soft beverages, and snacks. After the cruise, return to hotel for a buffet dinner. Overnight Victoria Falls (L/D)

Day 3

Victoria Falls – Mpsisi Village

 

Breakfast at hotel, pick up and depart from hotel for a private tour of the Falls with an English-speaking guide. Nothing can adequately prepare you for your first glimpse, and no snapshot can even begin to capture the reality of this magnificent work of nature. Victoria Falls, which is celebrating its 150 millionth year, peaks every year around May. Clients may want a picture op at the “Big Tree” along the trip. One of our trained guides will lead clients on a tour of the Rainforest, explaining the geography and history of the area, as well as pointing out interesting plants, animals, and birds along the way. Guides are happy to help clients take pictures of this stunning waterfall. When rain is expected, we supply raincoats.
After the tour of the Falls, transfer to Zambezi house for lunch. After lunch, pick up for Private village tour at Mpsisi village – this tour enables you to see rural life first hand, visit rural homes, meet the local chief and learn about the way of life from him, after tour transfer back to hotel. At leisure until Boma dinner, including entertainment. After dinner, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight Victoria Falls (B/L/D)

Day 4

Victoria Falls

Breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, shopping tour – those interested in bargain hunting and learning about the African practice of “barter-trade” may like this tour. The trip takes you to craft halls, art galleries, and stores that sell just about anything.

Lunch at Lookout Café with a beautiful view of the Gorge– after lunch, optional activities –Gorge swing, Bungee jumping/ Helicopter scenic flight over the falls. Late afternoon return to hotel for dinner. Overnight Victoria Falls (B,L,D)

Day 5 and 6

Hwange National Park

After breakfast, depart Victoria Falls and drive to Hwange National Park – a big 5 reserve that also boasts big elephant herds, wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs, and some of the rarer antelope species like eland, sable antelope, and kudu. Accommodation for the next 2 nights will be at one of the lodges bordering Hwange National Park, with dawn and afternoon game drives in the Park, guided walking safaris, horseback safaris, and a visit to the Painted Dog conservation centre., Fully inclusive.

Day 7

Departure

 

Early morning activity, check out and transfer by road to Victoria Falls airport for final departure (B)
